OVERVIEW

Wilbur Gray, a horror writer, visits his publisher, Frank Richards, to tell him about his new book about how evil cats are. Wilbur believes that cats are supernatural creatures, or as he puts it, devils in disguise. Wilbur relates three tales to illustrate his thoughts:-

(1.) The first story tells of a wealthy woman who writes a will which leaves all of her money to her cats. The maid and nephew conspire to kill her and destroy the will.

(2.) The second story tells of a young orphan, Lucy, who is sent to live with her aunt and uncle. When her cousin, Angela, makes her life a misery, she exacts revenge with the help of some black magic.

(3.) The last story concerns the horror actor Valentine De'ath and his lover who conspire to kill his wife.
