OVERVIEW

After their daughter drowns in a tragic accident at home, Laura and John Baxter take a "working vacation" to Venice, where John has been contracted to restore an old church. It also gives them a chance to work through their grief.

While John devotes his time to his project, Laura is drawn to two elderly sisters, one who claims to be in psychic contact with their deceased daughter.

John finds their influence on his wife unsettling, but he is also unsettled by sightings of a childlike figure in a red raincoat resembling his daughter, who disappears every time he tries to pursue it.

Is his daughter trying to contact him from beyond the grave?
